Faith Check: Are You Living Anchored or Adrift?
We check our phones. We check our calendars. We even check the weather.
But when was the last time we checked in with our faith?
A Faith Check isn’t about guilt, it’s about realignment.
It’s about asking: Am I drifting with the current of life, or staying anchored in Christ?
Realignment in Scripture
2 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV)
“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.”
This verse reminds us that faith isn’t just a label, it’s a lifestyle. When life gets busy, we can slip into autopilot. The storms hit, or even worse, the days just blurred slowly, and we drift. Not because we don’t believe, but because we haven’t paused to anchor.
Hebrews 2:1 (NLT)
“So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.”
Today’s Faith Check-In
Ask yourself:
These aren’t condemnation questions, they’re clarity questions. They help us refocus on truth and redirect our steps.
Faith Anchors to Hold Onto This Week
Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Romans 12:2 (NIV)
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Let God’s Word guide your mindset, your reactions, and your rest. That’s how we stay positively anchored—not just believing in God but living like we trust Him.

Faith Check: Am I Plugged Into God or Just My Phone?
We check our phones more than we check our hearts.
We refresh our feeds, answer every buzz, and chase notifications like they’re urgent.
But when was the last time we refreshed our faith?
A Faith Check isn’t about guilt—it’s about awareness.
It’s a gentle pause to ask:
What’s filling my mind—and what’s feeding my soul?
Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Stillness is hard in a world that values speed. But stillness is where we rediscover who we are and who He is.
You don’t have to earn peace.
You just have to make space for it.
Isaiah 30:15 (NIV)
“In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength…”
God isn’t asking for more hustle.
He’s offering more presence.
Today’s Faith Check-In
Ask yourself:
These aren’t shame questions—they’re soul reset questions.
They help us notice what’s competing with God's voice in our lives.
Faith Anchors to Hold Onto This Week
Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Colossians 3:2 (NIV)
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
This week, let’s make room for the better connection.
Make time to read God's word.
In today’s digital world, technology doesn’t have to be a distraction, it can be a doorway to devotion. E-books, Bible apps, and online devotionals allow us to carry God’s Word in our pocket, ready to refresh our spirit wherever we are. The key is choosing to pause the scroll and open the Scripture, letting truth guide our thoughts in the middle of a tech-heavy world.
Faith Check: Are you the answer to someone's prayers?
Who crossed your path today that could use a simple act of kindness—and how can you be the answer?
We rush through our days, focused on to-do lists, deadlines, and distractions.
But sometimes, the most important moment isn’t in the task—it’s in the pauseto love.
A smile. A kind word. A helping hand. A prayer whispered when no one is watching.
These aren’t extras. They’re Kingdom moments.
Kindness doesn’t require perfection—it just requires presence.
And more often than not, someone nearby is praying for hope…
and God is placing you right in their path to deliver it.
A Faith Check Isn’t About Guilt, It’s About Becoming Aware
It's a chance to ask ourselves:
Who crossed my path today that may have needed encouragement?
Did I make space to be compassionate, or was I too rushed?
Am I willing to be inconvenienced to care for someone else?
When I feel a tug to reach out, do I act—or brush it off?
God often nudges us in the still moments… but we have to be willing to feel them.
Let’s not miss divine opportunities disguised as ordinary interruptions.
Scripture to Anchor Your Heart
Proverbs 3:27 (NIV)
“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.”
Galatians 6:9-10 (NIV)
“Let us not become weary in doing good… as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people…”
Matthew 5:16 (NIV)
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Today’s Faith Check-In
Is someone waiting on a kindness I’ve been delaying?
Have I overlooked a divine nudge to text, call, pray, or show up?
Can I do one simple act of kindness today that carries God's love to someone else?
This isn’t about performance—it’s about compassion.
It’s about showing up with your hands open, ready to give what you have.
Because kindness isn’t a random act, it’s a faithful response.
